A Bespoke 4 Bedroom Home in the Countryside

Stanton St John, Oxford

A contemporary take on rural living, this bespoke 4-bedroom home is nestled in the heart of Oxfordshire’s countryside. Thoughtfully designed to complement its natural surroundings, the property combines traditional materials with modern construction techniques to create a refined and energy-efficient family home.

Working closely with Anderson Orr Architects from the initial planning stages, we collaborated to bring the client’s vision to life by delivering a home that balances architectural elegance with practical living.

Design & Materials

The bespoke house is defined by its simple, linear form and honest palette of materials. A striking oak-framed entrance sets the tone on arrival, providing a warm, rustic contrast to the clean lines of the contemporary façade. Large windows flood the internal spaces with natural light, while offering uninterrupted views across the surrounding Oxfordshire landscape.

An outdoor terrace extends the living space into the landscape, blurring the boundaries between inside and out. A detached annexe, designed in parallel with the main house, offers additional accommodation and flexibility.

Interior Design for a Bespoke Living Experience

Internally, the layout has been built around modern family living, with open-plan spaces that flow intuitively across the ground floor. A central fireplace provides a natural focal point, while the high-specification kitchen, finished with Minoli tiles, adds a layer of sophistication to the heart of the home.

Duravit bathrooms, underfloor heating, and carefully selected finishes throughout ensure a sense of quiet luxury and long-term comfort.
